Delgaudio Praises Bush and Congress for Acting to Save Terri
Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio praised congressional leaders and President Bush today for pushing through emergency legislation that will hopefully help save Terri Schiavo from the painful death of starvation.
"In this nation we respecting innocent human life less and less," said Delgaudio. "Our political leaders need to do everything in their power to help save the life of this woman from an agonizing death."
Congress passed a bill late last night that would give federal courts jurisdiction over the case so that Terry's parents, this month's Family Advocates of the Month, can continue to fight for her most basic right to live.
Public Advocate has been fighting for the American family for over 25 years, and is exempt from federal taxation under IRC section 501(c)4. Contributions for gifts to Public Advocate are not tax-deductible.
