Video: Georgia state senator arrested during governor's speech similar to Clayton Incident

VIDEO POSTED OF WRONGFUL ARREST OF SENATOR COLTON MOORE

Eugene Delgaudio statement on arrest of Senator Colton Moore:

"Public Advocate condemns the thugish treatment of conservative Senator Colton Moore in Atlanta, Georgia today by RINO House leadership in an obvious overreach of tyranny. It is similar to an incident involving a Public Advocate volunteer holding a sign promoting traditional marriage on the public street a few years ago. The volunteer was wrongfully arrested for interfering in the legislative session but was no where near the Capitol Building. The arrest was thrown out by a judge. In more recent years, in the case of Mark Clayton in Nashville, Tennesee as documented by Public Advocate, where police were summoned and threats of violence made on the record by Nashville election officials against Clayton is the subject of litigation.

Public Advocate is preparing a letter for the incoming Justice Department under President-elect Donald Trump. A comprehensive investigation by the Department of Justice into wrongful actions taken by state officials in two distinct but fundamentally similar matters: the exclusion and arrest of Senator Colton Moore during a legislative session in Georgia, and the removal of Mark Clayton from a Tennessee Registry of Election Finance hearing. Both incidents represent a troubling pattern of abuse of authority under color of law, procedural overreach, and apparent retaliation against individuals exercising constitutional and civic rights. These cases demand federal attention to address potential systemic violations of civil rights and to restore public confidence in state institutions, " Delgaudio said.

The Hill reports:

Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore (R) was arrested and transported to the Fulton County Jail on Thursday for attempting to enter the House Chamber to hear Gov. Brian Kemp's (R) state address after being banned from the area last year.

"It has gone too far. I have an obligation to be in that room," Moore told a group of law enforcement officers preventing him from entering.

"I represent 200,000 people in northwest Georgia who duly elected me to be here today," he said after being thrown to the ground.
