Public Advocate to President Trump: Doug Burgum As VP is disaster!

"Dear President Trump, Please do not nominate Doug Burgum as Vice-president. He's a rino moderate that will sabatoge your conservative agenda and set in concrete a betrayal of pro-family values started by the Party Platform disaster. Nobody believe's Burgum's latest act to be a conservative since he just ran for president pretending to be Mitt Romney -- with the support of Mitt Romney Republicans-- as a never Trump candidate," says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate.

In a nationwide online message to supporters, Delgaudio said (in part)

"Mr. Trump should not nominate Doug Burgum as his vice-presidential running mate.

Gov. Burgum is a moderate at best with deep ties to radical socially liberal parts of our country.

As governor, he has actually banned Public Advocate from operating in North Dakota!

His administration has created so many insane regulations that I cannot mail or phone call into the entire state.

The Homosexual Lobby is pushing Burgum onto Trump because they know he will pull the next Trump Administration away from the pro-Family Movement.

I wouldn't be surprised if those Log Cabin megadonors have promised the Trump campaign another fortune in donations if he picks Burgum.

But there's still time there too.

In 2015, President Trump ignored Public Advocate's dire warnings about Mike Pence being a spineless coward who would sell us all out in a heartbeat - and Trump paid a heavy price.

But by January 2016, Trump listened closely when we warned him about Judge William Pryor - who was at the time the front runner to be Trump's first Supreme Court nominee.

Trump had already learned from his first mistake and listened that time, pivoting to Neil Gorsuch instead.

Now we have to steer him away from Burgum to any of the other leading conservative candidates.

This is how Trump can show us his commitment to the pro-Family Movement." said Delgaudio.

THE MEDIA IS FULL OF REFERENCES TO MODERATE LIBERAL DOUG BURGUM

Burgum SAYS HE IS A MODERATE

In July 2020, Burgum called the 2020 Republican platform "divisive and divisional" on LGBT issues.

"During his 2016 campaign (FOR GOVERNOR) he described himself as a moderate on social issues

"Burgum coming across as one of the less-Trumpy Republicans in the presidential primary........."

Unlike others who have angled to be Trump's running mate, Burgum is not a firebrand. He is not an anti-woke crusader and launched his presidential campaign with a pledge to eschew "anger, yelling, infighting," instead saying he would "listen with respect" and "talk things out." In his campaign launch video 11 months ago, Burgum was shown riding horses, repairing a barbed wire fence and eating around a campfire.

Burgum, unlike Pence and Scott, who frequently met with Christian ministers and quoted scripture on the stump, did not go out of his way during his presidential run to court conservative evangelical voters. And Burgum as a presidential candidate largely shied away from social issues, instead focusing primarily on economic measures.
