NBC NEWS POSTS "LEGAL" PLAN TO ARREST TRUMP VOTERS PRIOR TO ELECTION

Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio reacted to the NBC "legal plan" opinion article to "stop" Trump voters, just posted:

"NBC News is irresponsible for posting this explicit threat against millions of Trump supporters and I challenge them directly to cease and desist efforts to harrass and libel Trump supporters. Frankly, the reaction to this post by NBC by most is to ignore it as 21 people comment on social platform Reddit. Compare that to Public Advocate getting 90,000 comments to a demonstration on Reddit or 100,000 impressions to our Nancy Pelosi tweet yesterday.

However even with just 21 comments, that's 21 comments too many for this reckless call by NBC on their main website to litterally charge all Trump voters with hate crimes and it needs condemnation."

NBC POSTED THIS "OPINION" ON THEIR MAIN WEBSITE: (IN PART)

"If the Trump era has taught us anything, it's that large numbers of white people in the United States aremotivated at least in part byracism in the voting booth. Donald Trump ran an openly racist campaign for president, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, regularly retweeting white supremacists and at least initially balking at repudiating former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

............ voters are not well-intentioned innocents who are helplessly manipulated by malevolent leaders. They make important decisions as constitutional actors, for which they have moral responsibility. Racist voting isn't an accident. It's a choice that may violate the principles of our Constitution and our legal system. We should say so, and then we should find ways to reduce the harm it causes," says NBC News post.

Public Advocate Note: President Trump condemned David Duke by name in broadcast interviews when deciding to withdraw as a candidate for president as a Reform Party nominee in the year 2000.
