Homosexuals "Burn Bibles" In Reaction to Football Saint Video by Christians
"The homosexual lobby reaction to a sports hero promoting students bringing bibles to their public schools, for a brief 22 seconds, is today's example of now routine foaming at the mouth bible book burning overreaction to simple Christian religious liberty practices, " says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Thursday defended his participation in a video that was released by the religious organization Focus on the Family, a group that is widely recognized as anti-LGBTQ.
Focus on the Family has, among other things, promoted "conversion therapy," a radical pseudoscientific practice that aims to change an LGBTQ person's sexual orientation. Brees drew criticism in the days following the release of the video because of its connection to the organization.
Thursday, in front of his locker, Brees strongly defended himself. He released a video statement shortly before the Saints locker room opened to reporters, then spent several minutes answering questions in front of his locker.

Drew Brees Attacked for Promoting 'Bring Your Bible to School Day' with Focus on the Family
Drew Brees recently partnered with Focus on the Family to promote 'Bring Your Bible to School Day,' appearing in a video in which he encouraged children to participate in the event Oct. 3.
The star New Orleans Saints quarterback immediately received push-back from left-leaning media outlets, ridiculing him for aligning with Focus on the Family, which is a socially conservative organization that believes in traditional marriage.
'Bring Your Bible to School Day' has been taking place every year since 2014, moving students to "celebrate religious freedom and share God's love with their friends."
Brees' video, which was all of 22 seconds, encouraged students to bring their bibles to school, and join the movement in which thousands of students have participated.
"Hey guys," Brees says in the video, "one of my favorite verses in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 5:7, "For we live by faith, not by sight."
