San Antonio Declares Culture War Against Christians And Other Faiths

Fox News Radio is reporting: The San Antonio City Council approved a non-discrimination bill that will protect new groups from discrimination, but critics charge it will encourage bias against Christians and those who believe in traditional marriage.

The council voted 8-3 to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of classes protected from discrimination.

An online blog post observes "Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston are all being taken over by radical leftists. Even Fort Worth is represented in the Texas senate by radical pro abortion Wendy Davis."

On the other hand, Free Lance Star reports:

The local issue has drawn top-line Republican opposition from such heavyweights as U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is the early favorite to become Texas governor in 2014.

Public Advocate has supported restrictions against local government units creating laws outside their powers or creating new rights that allow for the assault on the free practice of traditional religions currently being practiced in America and the world.

Public Advocate believe in this case the State of Texas should take the route pursued by somestates (which Public Advocate has supported) and pass a law that precludes these fake "anti-discrimination" ordinances from being enacted by any political subdivision in the interest of religious freedom.
