Chuck Colson-- He broke the mold of Christian Forgiveness
Chuck Colson broke the mold of modern Christian leaders.
After Watergate during the Nixon era, he confessed his sin and reformed his life and influenced a nation in the right direction.
Once he turned around he never stopped living the life
of moral virtue and inspired thousands and perhaps
millions to follow his example.
And he went to the poorest and most hated segments of society,
mostly non-violent criminals in jail cells, and appealed to them
personally and without condition to join him in the struggle to
follow the narrow path.
He was a true political conservative defending
moral values and giving young and old people an example
to follow.
Here's more from Prison Fellowship:
"Evangelical Christianity lost one of its most eloquent and
influential voices today with the death of Charles W. "Chuck"
Colson. The Prison Fellowship and Colson Center for Christian
Worldview founder died at 3:12 p.m. on Saturday from complications
resulting from a brain hemorrhage. Colson was 80."
