Clemens Foundation Receives Public Advocate's Family Advocate of the Month Award
Washington, DC -- Eugene Delgaudio, Executive Director of Public Advocate of the United States, a Virginia based pro-family group, announced today that the Clemens Foundation in Philomath, Oregon, is the most recent recipient of Public Advocate's Family Advocate of the Month Award.
The Clemens Foundation has provided scholarships for graduates of Philomath High School for over forty years, but recently school administrators began using their offices to promote their radical political agenda in the classroom. The Foundation saw the schools' "anything goes" style dress code, dissemination of extremist environmental propaganda, and promotion of homosexuality among the students as unacceptable, and decided to make a stand.
They determined to take the money that was being spent on funding the college careers of the graduates of the Philomath High and instead use it to help local home schoolers and graduates at nearby Christian schools pay for their higher education needs.
"Although the Clemens Foundation may be taking heavy criticism for sticking to their convictions from those in the community who had taken the scholarships for granted over many years, Public Advocate sees their courage as an example that others across America would be wise to follow," said Eugene Delgaudio while announcing the award. "Even though the gifts they have so generously distributed over the years began to be looked at as an entitlement, the Foundation's leaders know that they have a higher duty, and although they cannot single-handedly stop the corruption of our youth that occurs so often in today's classrooms, that doesn't mean that they have to reward it."
In another example of their generosity, The Clemens Foundation has decided to have the $100 stipend that accompanies the Family Advocate of the Month Award donated to the Bellfountain Cornerstone Christian School.
The Family Advocate of the Month Award is given monthly to Americans who fight for family values while exposing the politically correct liberal elite as the hypocrites they are. Each January one of the winners of the monthly award will be chosen as Family Advocate of the Year and will receive a $500.00 award.
Public Advocate has been fighting for the American Family as a non-profit, 501.c.4 organization since 1978. For more information please contact Jesse Binnall at 703/582-7924 or by email at [email protected].
