Federal Court Attempts To Outlaw Traditional Marriage
Battles in California have spilled over the East Coast with a decision by a federal Judge in Boston to overturn traditional marriage and essentially ban what most Americans want to preserve.
The news media writes it a different way though.
From the Examiner:
A federal district court judge in Boston has overturned the federal ban on gay marriage, saying that it interferes with the states' right to define marriage.
Interpretation: So an effort passed by Congress to defend and preserve marriage becomes a "states rights" issue even though most states -- when people are allowed to vote--- want to preserve traditional marriage.
From the Examiner
Opponents of same-sex marriage condemned the ruling. Kris Mineau, president of Massachusetts Family Institute called Tauro's ruling "another blatant example of a judge playing legislator."
