Public Advocate Blasts Iowa Politicians for Abandoning Marriage
Eugene Delgaudio appeared on Iowa’s “Steve Deace show” from 4PM to 7PM central time on WHO Radio AM 1040 in Des Moines, IA.

Delgaudio’s message is that the people of Iowa who overwhelmingly support marriage as being one man and one woman only are now looking for leader ship from the Republicans in the Iowa Senate.
They are not getting it. Minority Leader Paul McKinley (R-Chariton like Sheraton) has announced that he is unwilling to lead his caucus to get a vote on the Iowa Marriage Amendment in the Senate this session which closed early Sunday morning.
Public Advocate accused McKinley of cowering before the pro-homosexual-agenda of Majority Leader Mike Gronstal (D-Council Bluffs).
Delgaudio said “If McKinley won't fight, then defeat is guaranteed.”
Unlike the Iowa House where Republicans forced a vote, McKinley has failed to prepare his forces to defend and protect marriage and is still refusing to do anything effective.
There has been a vote in the House.
Public Advocate demanded that McKinley needed to get a vote in the Senate.
Pro-marriage Iowans want to know which Senators support marriage and which ones support the homosexual agenda.
Public Advocate supporters were going door-to-door Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the district to explaining to his constituents that he is not doing all he can to defend marriage. They are being asked to tell Paul McKinley stop cowering and start leading.
Phone calls were made to 75,000 Iowans in six districts demanding Democrats and Republicans to support traditional marriage.
This is a long-term battle and will continue after session and through the 2010 session to get the Iowa Marriage Amendment passed
