Delgaudio Teams Up With Congress to Punish Speaker Pelosi
Thousands of tourists cheer speeches around the clock. Today marks the House Republicans' fourth day of protest over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) refusal to deal with high gas prices and America's growing energy problem. Pelosi attempted to gag and silence conservatives and conservatives refuse to shut up or back down. They have taken over the floor of the House of Representatives every day since Friday inviting the general public to sit in the abandoned Democratic seats. Last Friday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shot down a Republican attempt to comprehensively debate opening up ANWR and other domestic and offshore oil supplies. She and the other Democrats left Congress for their vacations sending the media home and turning off the lights on their way out. The Republican minority are still there debating and challenging Pelosi to vote on new proposals.
Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio led staff and volunteers to the floor of the Congress this week and responded to calls for support from members of Congress under political siege. Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio interviewed Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) and Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-TX), who both explained what is going on and promoted the American Energy Act, (H.R. 6566).
THERE ARE NO VIDEO CAMERAS OR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ALLOWED ON THE FLOOR OR IN THE U.S. CAPITOL. The power and electricity are off and the C-SPAN cameras are barred. No pens or paper are allowed in the U.S. Capitol. Congressmen have asked for bloggers and YouTubers to come and spread the word.
