Public Advocate of the United States, a pro-family group based in Northern Virginia announced today that it is launching a grassroots and media campaign to support the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.

The "I Want You: To Restore the Constitution" campaign will include free promotional materials that will allow volunteers to show their support for the nomination and will also include advertising in media outlets to convince Americans to contact their Senators to vote for confirmation.

"Sam Alito is exactly the type of justice that Americans were expecting when the voted for George W. Bush and we plan on supporting him vigorously," said Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio. "We don't expect this nominee to legislate the agenda of the conservative movement from the bench in the same way that the activist justices like Warren, Stevens, Ginsburg, Souter, O'Conner, and Kennedy have enacted the agenda of the left. Rather we expect that he will be a jurist who will interpret the Constitution and our laws as an originalist and help return the political decisions to the elected branches.
