Thought Control and FMA Actions Expected in House of Representatives
The House of Representatives is on the verge of several key family decisions. It appears likely that members of the House conference committee on the Defense Appropriations Bill will ensure that the Kennedy Thought Control (or so-called "Hate Crimes") Bill is removed from the vital defense legislation. House leaders are also planning to schedule a vote on the Family Marriage Amendment, before members return to their districts to face their constituents in the November elections.
Public Advocate asks all pro-family Americans to call and write their member of congress and ask them to oppose efforts to put the Kennedy Thought Control Bill in the defense legislation and to support FMA.
Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio will by handing out Hershey Hugs to members of Congress, staffers, and tourists on Capitol Hill on Monday supporting these two vital measures.
"The next couple of weeks will see some important actions taken by members of congress," stated Delgaudio. "Hopefully some courageous members of the House will make sure that the Kennedy Thought Control Bill is killed for good. We also are pleased that members of congress will be forced to make a stand either for or against the Family Marriage Amendment before they face their constituents in November."
