Group Announces National Cake for Marriage Tour

Arlington, VA – Public Advocate of the United States, a Northern Virginia based family group, announced today that they would take "Cake for Marriage" on a twenty-five city summer tour, which will include stops at both party conventions.

Over twenty thousand pieces of cake will be handed out along the way to voters in cities from Miami, Florida to Manchester, New Hampshire to encourage them to demand all their elected officials and candidates for office support the Traditional Marriage Amendment currently pending in congress. The amendment would permanently define marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

The "Cake for Marriage" campaign was kicked off on Capitol Hill in October where a full real wedding cake was cut up and handed out to congressional staffers, visitors, and the media. Pictures of the kick-off can be found at Public Advocate's website (www.publicadvocateusa.org).

"We are going to have a great time sharing one of America's most joyous deserts with so many people, while standing up for the sacred institution of traditional marriage," said Eugene Delgaudio, President of Public Advocate. "People must be told that American marriage is under attack by the radical homosexual lobby and courts throughout America-from state court's in Massachusetts all the way to the United States Supreme Court.

"We have met with and encourage other pro-family groups to use Wedding Cake as a symbol of support for the Amendment," continued Delgaudio.

Details and locations for the Cake for Marriage Tour will be posted on Public Advocate's website at www.publicadvocateusa.org.
