Annual Naughty or Nice List of Businesses for Christmas Shopping Season

"Please shop the companies that promote Christmas the most and please avoid like the bubonic plague the worst establishments who worsphip at the Scrooge altar before his conversion, " says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate.

CNSNews.com is reporting:

The Liberty Counsel, a non-profit group dedicated to advancing religious freedom, has released a list of "naughty" or "nice" businesses based on their support or censoring of Christmas in seasonal advertising and promotions.

The 13th annual Friend or Foe of Christmas Campaign "applauds retailers who acknowledge the reason for the season, and exposes those who do not."

"Over the last thirteen years, we have seen the tremendous growth of the 'Nice List,'" Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, said in a press release. "While the culture has grown increasingly secular, I am happy to report that retailers are returning to the Spirit of Christmas."

It cited the AC Moore hobby chain, which had 64 mentions of Christmas on its website last year and 290 this year.

The businesses that made the "naughty" list -- with zero or close to zero mentions of Christmas -- include American Eagle Outfitters (2), Dick's Sporting Goods (0), Gap, Inc. (0), J. Crew Outfitters (0), Old Navy (3), Radio Shack (1), The Limited (0) and TJ Maxx (0).
