Musgrave First Ever Family Advocate of the Year
WINNER Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave
RUNNERS UP Miss America Erika Harold
Senator Jesse Helms
Senator Rick Santorum |
Congresswoman Musgrave received the award because of her dedication to the American family and her courage in standing up against the radical homosexual lobby by introducing such legislation as the Defense of Marriage Amendment to the Constitution, which would permanently reserve the right to marry between one man and one woman.
The amendment has become even more necessary after the Supreme Court's infamous "decision" in the Lawrence vs. Texas decision which legislated special rights for homosexuals from the bench.
"The American people need leaders like Marilyn Musgrave now more than ever before," stated Delgaudio at the announcement of the award. "With the elitists in the media and on the Supreme Court now squarely in bed with the homosexual lobby, the American people need representatives like her to stand up and remind these so-called jurists that we are still a democracy, and the will of the people cannot be thwarted from on high. This amendment would counteract the legislation from the Supreme Court, and once again put the American people in-charge of our government.
Musgrave was named July 2003 Family Advocate of the Month (FAM), and beat out such other monthly recipients as former Senator Jesse Helms, Senator Rick Santorum, and Miss America Erika Harold to receive the first ever Family Advocate of the Year award.
The award comes with a $500.00 honorarium, which public officials can have donated to a charity of their choice.
