Mary and Robert Schindler
Mary and Robert Schindler, the parents of Terri Schindler-Schiavo deserve Family Advocate of the Month award for their long standing fight to protect the life of their daughter, who suffered brain damage after she collapsed in her home in 1990.
Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo is in a long court fight to have her feeding tubes removed so that she will starve to death. Public Advocate joins with Mary and Robert Schindler in fighting this act of euthanasia and in preserving her life.
"Mary and Robert Schindler are true heroes," said Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio. "They have showed their willingness to stop at nothing to protect the life of their daughter. We are honored to present them with the March 2005, Family Advocate of the Month Award and will be donating $100 to the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation in her name."
