High School Blocks Students from Viewing Conservative websites

A high school student in Connecticut spoke out at a school board meeting this week after being unable to view conservative websites on school computers. There may have been censorship in the implementation of a firewall system that the school uses to block certain websites.

Andrew Lampart, a senior at Nonnewaug High School said he first noticed an issue when he was blocked from the NRA's website, but then had no problem getting onto sites that advocate for stricter gun control laws, like Moms Demand Action and Newtown Action Alliance. Lampart then said that he logged onto the state's Democratic Party website before being blocked from the Connecticut GOP site.
