One News Now: Christian group Public Advocate has won a strong..... First Amendment victory against the Southern Poverty Law Center
One News Now reports:
The SPLC filed suit against Washington, D.C.-based Public Advocate for mailing out a candidate scorecard that listed two liberal Republicans as pro-homosexual, and which included a picture of two men embracing. -
Public Advocate leader Eugene Delgaudio was there for the judge's decision.
"The judge ruled that we had no commercial use in using the photograph," he advises, "and that we had a First Amendment right with respect to controversial issues in the context of an election."
Since both candidates were defeated, Public Advocate was "clearly involved" in the election....
