Ugly Trump Hating Senate RINOS Backstab Matt Gaetz for Attorney General
"There are an awful lot of RINOS up for re-election in 2026 and they seem hell bent on ending their chances at re-election today with their backstabbing Trump's nominee for Attorney General, Matt Gaetz. My first national political race was helping to challenge Richard Nixon in the New Hampshire primary with John Ashbrook in 1972, but I helped end then NYC Mayor John Lindsay's in 1969 with Senator John Marchi's challenge to the Rinos rise. Since then the success of Jim Buckley in 1970 and Jeff Bell in 1978 started the rise of resisting RINO domination. Ronald Reagan's win in 1980 made it a national hunting season for RINOs that continues today, " says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate.
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) formally withdrew his name for consideration for the Attorney General position in President-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration, asserting Thursday there is "no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle."
"I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday," Gaetz said in post in X. "I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many."
Gaez went on to say his nomination has become too much of a distraction, and therefore, he is withdrawing his name from consideration for the highly sought position.
