Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Should Resign As "Leader"

The popular news media and as usual some fair weather conservatives who never really liked Donald Trump or Roy Moore are dumping on Roy Moore and Steve Bannon in particular for the lose of Alabama, one of the most Republican states in America.

Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate, has called attention to the singular abandonment of Roy Moore and Donald Trump by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Delgaudio tells his members today, in part, about McConnell's corruption:

When called out on the slow pace of judicial appointments recently, Mitch McConnell had to actually stop his direlection of office and hold meetings and stop goofing off in public in order to slow the appointment of Judges by the Trump Administration.

Just by having Senate meetings during the week and not going on vacation, 18 Court of Appeals judges have now been confirmed this year so far. A record for first year Presidential Administrations. Earlier, McConnell was dead snoring asleep.

And in the case of the Alabama election, McConnell first spent $30 million attacking Roy Moore and then opposed him as the Republican nominee and this action allowed other Senators to do McConnell's dirty work and attack Roy Moore out in the open without
consequence.

Against this corrupt "Republican" leader, Mitch McConnell, who blatantly refused to do his job to help and not oppose Roy Moore, the Republican nominee in Alabama, Mr. Moore and Bannon his manager, also had to contend with a out of control wall to wall media onslaught that fabricated reports on Trump and Moore non-stop since the 2nd run off primary.

So now true conservatives must overcome corrupt Republican leaders who assist in the defeat of true conservatives first. Part of that is understanding that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should resign based on his lack of performance in this Alabama race.

There are other calls for Mitch McConnell to resign, earlier by Roy Moore weeks ago, and Steve Bannon, a month ago, and today also. I ask you to join me and Roy Moore and
become a unified true conservative majority in demanding the end of this corruption in the office of Senate Majority Leader for the Republican Party," said Delgaudio.

Other Statement from Operation Rescue President:

Operation Rescue President Troy Newman continues to stand by his friend, Judge Roy Moore, in the face of unfounded 40-year old allegations of misconduct

It's no secret that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell did not like Judge Roy Moore, who ran to fill the seat vacated by Jeff Sessions. McConnell endorsed his primary opponent, Luther Strange, and poured an estimated $30 million into a campaign against Moore.

When Strange was soundly rejected by the people of Alabama, and Moore became the GOP nominee, McConnell continued to oppose him.

At the first sign of an unproven 40-year old allegation of sexual misconduct against Moore in the waning weeks of the campaign, the GOP halted financial support for Moore's campaign, and several Republicans withdrew their endorsements, when they should have maintained their support in the face of such obviously fake allegations. Instead, they allowed Moore to be tarred and feathered by the spurious attacks.

However, Mitch McConnell went a step further. He promised to never allow Moore to occupy his Senate seat, if he were to be elected, even though none of the allegations had ever been proved true in the four decades since they supposedly happened.

This sent a strong message to the electorate that Moore would never be accepted as a legitimate Senator, that the people of Alabama would be disenfranchised, and chaos would reign in the Senate.

"It is my opinion that Sen. Mitch McConnell heavily contributed to Moore's defeat, and because that led to giving a seat away to a pro-abortion Democrat, he should resign immediately," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.
