Public Advocate Announces Air Campaign At Republican National Convention
Public Advocate president Eugene Delgaudio announced today his group will be welcoming Republican delegates to Cleveland and the GOP Convention this Sunday with a special Pro-Family display.
Public Advocate will be flying a plane towing a banner that reads: PROTECT REAL MARRIAGE above downtown Cleveland near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where delegates will be attending a welcome ceremony on Sunday, July 17, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The airborne PROTECT REAL MARRIAGE message is a call to action to Republican delegates attending.the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to pass the pro-marriage plank in the just passed Republican platform committee report that is being passed out at the first session on Monday July 18.
Public Advocate president Delgaudio attended 2 days of the Platform committee this week to urge the passage of the pro-marriage plank.
Eugene Delgaudio said: "Real Marriage and Family Values have never been more threatened in America then right now.
But thanks in large part to the on-the-ground efforts of Public Advocate during the Convention preliminaries, the Platform Committee has kept a commitment to Real Marriage (1 Man + 1 Woman) in the GOP Party platform.
The Platform Committee also adopted Public Advocate's stance on opposing "transgender bathrooms."
Now it will be up to the Convention Delegates to ratify this platform, " said Delgaudio.
And Public Advocate has a full program "locked and loaded" to lobby delegates and keep the pressure on.
In addition to the aerial banner, Public Advocate will post online banner ads on social media including Facebook, internet ads, email messages to supporters, overpass banners and even road-side signs put up by local volunteers.
